Baby Funeral Scammers Pull on Heart Strings

 I always thought that panhandlers actually were living very comfortably. 

Fontana police officers responding to a call about a woman begging for money for an infant's funeral led investigators to uncover an alleged scam in which panhandlers netted thousands of dollars on behalf of babies who never died, authorities said Wednesday.

Starbucks is not giving away $50 gif cards


 This is very similar to the Apple iPad giveaway scam few weeks ago. The biggest hint that this is a fake is the URL. This scam is being spread through facebook primarily and may cause viruses.

Wells Fargo Bank Scam

Scammers are taking advantage of the fact that Wells Fargo and Wachovia have merged and are sending emails that look like an official account transfer.  THIS IS FAKE.
In short, don't reply to emails that ask you to click a link.

Free iPad Scam

This is just a version of the typical free Ipad or free Computer scam.  Please don't fall for it.

"Unscrupulous scammers are aiming to take advantage of the news of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs' death, security experts have warned. Sophos' Graham Cluley spotted a Facebook scam that claims Apple is giving away iPads in memory of Steve Jobs.

However, if you click on the link then you'll be asked to fill in online surveys to qualify for one of the free iPads that are supposedly being given away. But it is definitely a scam, Cluley said."
